Our Experiences

A very slow growing plant which thrives under any conditions. This plant may survive for several years allowing slow-growing algae to become established on older leaves. If the algae problem is serious you can try dipping the plant in bleach (1 part bleach to 20 parts water) for 2-3minutes. This method will clear away most of the algae but avoid beaching the rhizome and the roots. The best result is achieved by planting on a driftwood or rock using fishing line. If planted on the substrate the rhizome must not be covered otherwise it tends to rot.
