Nimbochromis Polystigma
               Dr. Regan found this cichlid in 1922 and named it Haplochromis Polystigma. Polystigma in Greek means many spots. This cichlid also practicing the play dead method of catching fish. There found throughout the lake. there mostly found in the interrmediate and vegetated areas.
        Trade Names: Haplochromis Polystigma
        Size: The male 9 inches long/female 7 inches long.
        Sex: males have a blue-blush head and egg dummies on anal fins. Female is a mouth brooder,
        Food: they will eat anything you feed them,live food,flakes,pellets.
  Breeding the male diggs a crater nest around the rocks edge, there fertilized in the nest and the female picks them up. the female will gourd them about four weeks after they have been released.
Nimbochromis Venustus
     Boulenger found this cichlid in 1908 and called them Haplochromis Venustus. The name commes from the Latin word which means refined or elegant. This is a very common aquarium cichlid. It also plays dead to catch its food, but  I have never seen it done in the aquarium. I have keept and breed these cichlids. They make a very nice addition cichlid to have in a Malawi tank.
           Size: male 8-10 inches/ female 8-9 inches
          Sex: male will have a blue head at about 4-5 inches/ female keeps it's Giraffe pattern and she will lay about 150 plus eggs. There the most interesting cichlid to watch breeding.
         Food: they will eat anything you give them.
         Nickname: Giraffe cichlid
