A bright green, thread like alga with thick filaments that form dense mats. Can grow to 10 cm or more. Can be quite dry due to exposure to the sun and wind.
Often found on rocks near freshwater seeps.
A producer using the sun to photosynthesise
Can be as many as 10 different species on the shore but they are hard to identify and more research is needed on them.
