Scientific Names : Caridina cf. babault

Average Adult Size : 1 - 1.5 inches / 3 - 3.8cm

Place Of Origin : India

Minimum Aquarium Capacity : 5 gallons imperial / 23 litres

Compatability : Community shrimp, but could be seen as food by large fish.

Water Temperature : 64.5 - 82.5 °F / 18 - 28 °C

Water Ph, Kh ,Dh : 6.5-7.8 | 0- 10 Kh | 2 - 20 Gh

Difficulty : Easy

Feeding :  Babaulti Shrimp will eat algae and biofilm that naturally occurs in the aquarium, they do no require much food and should only be fed what they can eat within 2 hours.  Commercial shrimp food and Vegitables can be given also.

Sexing : Difficult as both male and females look the same, it is advised to buy a group of atleast 6 if you are planning on breeding these shrimp

Breeding : The Babaulti Shrimp is generally easy to breed aslong as the water condition is good.  Females will carry between 30 and 50 eggs at a time and these eggs tend to be smaller in size than most other types of dwarf shrimp eggs. After around 30 days the newborn shrimp hatch and are able to look after themselves immediately. 

Additional Information : The Babaulti Shrimp is a great little dwarf shrimp that would do amazingy well in a shrimp only species aquarium.  It comes in a variety of colours and even with a zebra pattern.  They do mature slower than alot of other dwarf shrimp so patience is needed with them
