Description
Rhizome to 1.5 cm in diameter. Leaves with petiole to 25 cm long, lamina to 18 x 3 cm, linear-lanceolate, tip acute, minutely apiculate, base cuneate. Peduncle to 8 cm; spathe to 13 cm long, basal tubular portion to 2 cm long and about 8 mm in diameter., limb expanded, lanceolate, acuminate, spirally twisted, 6-11.5 cm long, light purplish to green purplish outside, dark purplish and with subhorizontal lamellations within; spadix about 1.9 cm, with female portion to 4 mm, interstice to 11 mm, male portion to 3 mm. Female flowers with style very short, thick, slightly decurved; stigma broadly elliptic. Neuter flowers few, dark purplish-coloured.
