Abstract

This paper is devoted to the taxonomy of those species of the genusEchinodorus in which the blades have pellucid lines connected in an irregular network. This concernsEchinodorus longipetalus Mich.,E. tunicatus Small and two new speciesE. horizontalis sp. n. from the Amazone basin andE. glandulosus sp. n. from Brazil. Diagnoses and geographical distribution are presented.
