This bony and flattened skull is that of a strange catfish: the frog-Catfish, or Walking Catfish: Clarias batrachus. Indeed, this fish can also crowl on land for several hours thanks to a secondary suprabranchial system. This freshwater fish is native to Java, but has conquered all of Southeast Asia and has even been introduced to the United States where it is considered an invasive species. This predator eats all the fish that enter his mouth, but on his silk cushion, his little teeth should not find any prey to swallow.
