Santa Monica Beach Among Nation's 25 Best Of The Best: Tripadvisor
An activity-filled Santa Monica beach landed at No. 7 among 2024's Best of the Best beaches, a new ranking says.
SANTA MONICA, CA — As summer approaches, beachgoers may want to travel near the coast to experience Santa Monica's nationally-ranked beach.
With its soft and sandy shores, the Santa Monica State Beach is deemed one of the best beaches nationwide by travel guidance platform Tripadvisor. The California beach landed at No. 7 among 25 beaches.
Tripadvisor recently released its 2024 Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best winners, the highest honor in travel, it says.

"It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone," Tripadvisor said.
The setting of the Santa Monica beach allows for sunbathing and relaxing oceanside, Tripadvisor said in its ranking. The scenery lends itself to cycling, surfing or strolling along the boardwalk. An amusement park is also featured at the notable beach.

And, per Tripadvisor, the Palisades Park offers "next-level views" while the pier is home to a ferris wheel for above ground sights.
