Evaluation Effects of Addition of White Worm (Enchytraeus Albidus Henle, 1837) to Diets on Growth of Brown Trout Fry (Salmo Trutta Fario L.)2017 •
This paper evaluated usage possibility of white worm, Enchytraeus albidus added to brown trout fry pellets at different percentages. The experiment was designed as 4 groups (Live feed, pellet, and additions of (0.25 and 0.5%) white worm with 3 replicates. Each tank included 30 fish. Weigh gains and survival rates of fish were compared and assumptions were made with respect to consumption. It was found that addition of white worm to diets increased weight gain slightly (p>0.05). No differences were observed at survivals of fish (p>0.05). Feed conversion ratio was the higher in Lf group and followed by 0.5, 0.25 % white worm added groups and pellet groups in order. It may be suggested to fish farmers adding White worm at small quantities may provide better survival with not significant changes in total production.
Diet forms the major input and one among the factors that controls growth of any organism under controlled conditions. Feeding the young ones with live feeds are essential for better growth and coloration. An experiment was set up to record the effect of differenent worm diets in the growth of Angel fish (Pterophyllum scalare), a most accepted species of ornamental fish globally. Growth in terms of morphometric measurements was assessed for angel fishes grown in aquarium glass tanks of standard size fed different worm diet ingredients. Tubifex worms, vermicompost worms, bloodworms and formulated feed as control were administered for experimental fishes for a period of 90 days and growth in terms of total length, standard length(cm) and weight(gm) were assessed in 30 days interval. Analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) showed vermicompost worm group performed significantly (P<0.001) well in growth of angelfish and regression analysis resulted a good relationship between growth and the period of growth for all treatments.

The Effect of Different Diets on the White Worm (Enchytraeus albidus Henle, 1837) Reproduction2004 •
In this study, white worms (Enchytraeus albidus Henle, 1837), which are used especially by aquarists and sturgeon breeders, were fed five different experimental diets, and then the numerical increase in their population was calculated. Four of the five diets were composed of carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, and pelleted commercial trout feed, and the fifth was composed of a combination of all four of these. At the end of the study, the greatest numerical increase and best reproduction was found to have occurred with the commercial trout feed in pellet form. This study was completed in 91 days.

Evaluation of Addition of White Worm (Enchytraeus Albidus Henle, 1837) to Diets on Quality of Brown Trout (Salmo Trutta Fario)2017 •
This paper evaluated usage possibility of white worm added to brown trout pellets at different percentages. The experiment was designed as 4 groups (Live feed, Pellet, and additions of (0.25 and 0.5%) white worm with 3 replicates. Each tank included 30 fish. After 90 days of feeding proximate analyzes of whole body were made from 16 fish of each group. It was shown that addition of white worm increased meat quality.

The Effects of Feeding Frequencıes on The Growth Performance and Life Rate in Electric Yellow Fish Fry (Labidochromıs caeruleus)2021 •
Ornamental fish farming has become an important industry in the world. Ornamental fish are called living gems because of their color, shape and behavior. Modern ornamental fish production requires a nutritionally balanced, cost-effective and sustainable feeding process. Among the operating costs in aquaculture, the cost of feed has a ratio varying between 40% and 60% among the total other expenses. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of meal number on growth performance and survival rate in Electric yellow cichlid fries (Labidochromis caeruleus). 60 Electric yellow cichlid fries were stocked in 12 aquariums of 33 * 35 * 40 cm size established in Tekirdag Namık Kemal University Technical Sciences Vocational School Fisheries Laboratory. The study was carried out in 3 repetitions: 1 meal per day, 3 meals, 5 meals and 1 meal every other day, up to 5% of body weight, by applying 4 different meals to fish. During the study, weight and height measurements were made every...

Analysis of growth and nutritional quality of sea worms (Nereis virens) as a mass cultured natural feed on different substrate media thicknessesThis investigation was carried out to study the effect of different live feed and dry feed on growth and survival of Labeo rohita at a stocking density of 20 larvae per trough having 10 L of water. The increase in weights and lengths were used as measures of growth. The duration of the experiment was 30 days. Seven dietary treatments were tested viz. Artificial diet with 45% protein (LFr1), rotifers like Asplanchna and Brachionus (LFr2), wild zooplankton (LFr3), bioenriched zooplankton (raised on Chlorella, cod liver oil and vitamin C) (LFr4), Artemia (LFr5), Chironomous (LFr6) and Oligochaetes (LFr7). Among the different treatments, larvae fed with diet LFr4 resulted in the maximum body weight gain (BWG) (13.18 ± 0.13 mg) which was significantly (P < 0.05) higher than all the treatments which followed the order of preference as: LFr5 (12.31 ± 0.10 mg), LFr3 (9.75 ± 0.08 mg), LFr2 (7.85 ± 0.10 mg), LFr7 (6.49 ± 0.15 mg), LFr6 (5.66 ± 0.13 mg) and LFr1 (4.99 ± 0.14 mg). The diet LFr4 recorded maximum survivability (92.0 ± 2.0%). All the values recorded for the BWG and survival were found to be significantly different (P < 0.05) among others. Protein and lipid content of the prawn after the treatment was found to be highest for LFr5 and LFr4, respectively.

Complete replacement of fish meal by other animal protein sources on growth performance of Clarias gariepinus fingerlings2019 •
Yellow mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) larvae are a potential alternative animal protein source for sustainable aquaculture. However, reports on the successful complete substitution of fish meal with yellow mealworm larvae in an aquaculture diet have been limited. In this study, we conducted a feeding trial with red seabream (Pagrus major) being fed diets with partial or complete replacement of fish meal with yellow mealworm larvae defatted with a hexane–ethanol solution. Feed intake in red seabream increased in accordance with yellow mealworm larvae inclusion, and diets including 65% defatted mealworm larvae (complete replacement of fish meal) showed significant growth promotion. The addition of the oil fraction from mealworm larvae to diets resulted in growth reduction, despite meeting the nutritional requirements of red seabream. Moreover, the survival rate of red seabreams fed diets with partial replacement of fish meal with mealworm larvae was significantly higher in a challenge te...
