HISTORICAL SUMMARY
Your ancestors arrived at United States , through immigrants from british isles around the year 1845, still in the form of bull-and-terrier (which in England generated the Staffordshire Bull Terrier , through one of its variations). THE bull-and-terrier it soon became popular and was further developed by the union of its English, Irish and Scottish varieties. It then concluded that the AST developed from a population separate from the race American Pit Bull Terrier . Currently these are considered in most of the world canine entities as completely different and separate races. Eighty years of self-selection had turned the Amstaff into a distinct breed separate from its predecessor, the Pit Bull.
The Amstaffs (as they are commonly called), are classified as generally more peaceful and adaptable to living with other animals, and are shorter and more robust.
