This variety of Echinodorus schlueteri, which is also known as ''the
green leopard'', has been bred by Hans Barth in Dessau. It has distinctive black
spots on the youngest leaves, which are still visible on the older leaves even
though they are not so clear. A nutritious bottom promotes growth. See
