Banksy is always surprising—and always topical. The elusive street artist has been abiding by government-imposed lockdown measures just like everyone else, but that hasn’t stopped him from creating. His latest artwork, which he shared to Instagram on Wednesday, features nine rats making a mess in what looks to be Banksy’s bathroom.

“My wife hates it when I work from home,” he humorously captioned the series of five photos, which shows the rats performing an impressive array of acrobatic feats and defiling the bathroom. In the photos, one rat looks as though he’s dangling from a round towel holder while stepping on an open tube of toothpaste; another is counting down the days of lockdown with lipstick marks on a wall; yet another appears to be mid-run on a roll of toilet paper; and one larger rat in the foreground is relieving himself atop the toilet seat. Banksy’s rats have featured prominently in his previous artworks, often vandalizing public strategists or painting their own messages on the sides of buildings.

Banksy’s last piece prior to this home lockdown project appeared on the side of a building in his hometown of Bristol, England. It depicted a young girl firing a slingshot of red flowers high up on the wall. It was later vandalized, but rather than be deterred, Banksy shared a cheeky message via Instagram of some initial sketches of the piece with the caption, “I’m kind of glad the piece in Barton Hill got vandalized. The initial sketch was a lot better.”
