Detroit is becoming a revitalized city with many great restaurants, sporting venues and entertainment venues. Very walkable and increased transit system would make this the perfect city to visit. It's so good to see the re-birth of the buildings and the businesses making this a city vibrant and attracting more visitors each year.

Detroit is a beautiful place to visit.
Detroit is a beautiful place to visit. Most people are relatively friendly. I had no problems, other than the place that I stayed. They had mice and it was a dead mouse in the sink on the second day. The person managing the property came in while I wasn't there. I couldn't cook my Thanksgiving dinner because there was no dining table. So my family had to eat with our plates in our laps. I was told to give a good review and they would give me back half of my money. They lied! I have text messages and pictures.

Detroit has come a long way from what it used to be.
Detroit has come a long way from what it used to be. There is a lot to do around the city. With the Q-line and the people mover being a mode of free transportation, it is much easier to get around if you can park just outside of the downtown area

Room was clean. Bed was very clean and nicely presented. Nice shower stall. Room was small with double bed. Staff very helpful, personable, accommodating. Very convenient, short walk, to Detroit’s Riverwalk. Although, there is a shuttle service, free, operates on tips, it doesn’t start until 4 pm. The attached diner, closes at 3 pm. I found it pricey for breakfast. The hotel offers free continental breakfast which suited us.
We walked to Little Caesars Arena for an afternoon game. Took about 20+ min, easy walk.
This is a lovely hotel with very professional staff and surroundings. One of the best things is the location. Woodward Avenue is in the middle of so much and you can take the Q line trolley from the hotel to the Detroit Institute of Art and many other spots to visit. Also, we got in very late on a Thursday and the hotel has 24-hour room services. We were really hungry, and it was great to be able to order food to our room!
The location of the Ashley is just perfect in a safe downtown neighbourhood. Communication beforehand is very good and you get Emails about how exactly to check in with different codes for the front door and the elevator. It‘s easy and convenient. The apartment is super clean, cozy and hosts 4 people comfortably. If you‘re visiting fantastic Detroit, I would highly recommend staying here.
Loft living in downtown Detroit. This isn't so much like a hotel as a condo operation with security. But if this is where you want to be, you probably know how to make your way through the city streets. Also of note: if you don't like the sounds of the city (including the loud ones on weekend nights), bring ear protection. Downtown at night can be loud until 2:30am or so.
The location downtown was exceptional. I usually stay in suburbs and/or off freeway exits, It was a lovely Sunday in Detroit and Windsor, and Monday (I was working with Detroit FD). An employee named Ken was exceptional with more than one issue (early check-in, etc.). The view from the 21st floor is exceptional. Price was well below most downtown hotels.
For us the location was great. We could walk to everything we wanted to do downtown bars, restaurant, clubs etc. We had thought about booking an airbnb or something but felt like a hotel chain would be more reliable as far as cleaning standards. The room and hotel met our expectations and we're glad we decided to stayed there.
GREAT location in Downtown Detroit — walking distance to everywhere you might want to go downtown. The front desk staff and valet were so, so nice and hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to use the spa or other services offered, but I will make sure to do so the next time I stay here.
The location on Michigan Avenue is fantastic. So much is within walking distance: Campus Martius, the Detroit River waterfront, historical buildings, restaurants and stores. The unit was nice, plenty big enough despite being a smaller unit. And the gym on the second floor is decent and handy.
Great location in Downtown Detroit and close to the Riverfront Walk. Lots of good restaurants located within walking distance from the hotel. Hotel is located opposite General Motors HQ. They also have complimentary coffee/tea facilities in the room. Staff were very friendly and very helpful
I was in town for my brother's funeral. Most of the family stayed at a hotel in downtown Detroit and paid more for one night than I paid for 2 nights, including tax. It was clean, safe and an excellent location. I would definitely consider again if I am in Detroit.
My favorite place to stay while in Detroit. Lots of nice places around in walking distance. The hotel has a fun unique character. The bar in the lobby is one of the best cocktail bars in the city. Great experience for the price.
The aparthotel and apartment seemed newly refurbished and well appointed. The downtown location was convenient to main destinations in Detroit. There was a security guard 24 hours in the small lobby area.
The hotel is gorgeous and clean, and the room was HUGE. It has a great location walkable to many places in downtown Detroit. We checked out car valet and didn't need it again until the end of the weekend.
Beautifully restored building in Detroit, the room was pricey but very nice. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is perfect if you're wanting to enjoy everything downtown has to offer.
The rooms are huge, the location is perfect if you are interested in Downtown Detroit, the staff is very helpful, especially the concierge and they have a free shuttle within 5 miles radius
Property and rooms were updated and modern. The artwork and design was vey cool. Very close to downtown Detroit. Price was reasonable for being that close to downtown.
Perfect location for Detroit river view walk and marina. Canada bridge is close, view form the room is amazing. Everything is close and people mover in the hotel
A lovely residential-type hotel (an old restored mansion) in a good downtown location, near the art centre.
Good (paid) parking. Terrific buffet breakfast.
