• Raven-Symoné and Kiely Williams chatted together on Instagram Live.
  • Raven explained why she didn’t do the third Cheetah Girls movie, and Kiely shared why she’s upset with Adrienne Bailon.

Remember when The Cheetah Girls: One World was about to premiere on Disney Channel back in 2008 and you foolishly thought Raven-Symoné—excuse me, Galleria— would be in the movie alongside Chanel (Adrienne Bailon Houghton), Aqua (Kiely Williams), and Dorinda (Sabrina Bryan)? Welp, younger you was very wrong, because like every good girl group, The Cheetah Girls had major drama behind the scenes.

Raven and Kiely hopped on Instagram Live to discuss their unresolved issues, how cliques drove a wedge into their friendship, and why Raven chose not to participate in the final Cheetah Girls film. According to Raven, she wasn’t made to feel like a part of the group, so she left.

“The cliquish way that there was during that movie made me feel excluded from my original team,” she explained. “Not that it was strong to begin with, but I felt excluded…we have other things that just led up to that moment that just were weird, personal outside of business.”

Kiely gave Raven a formal apology and said, “I would never try to hurt you on purpose.” Raven accepted and said, “Well, I appreciate that, sweetheart, and I release any pain toward you that I have and I cancel, clear, and delete it.”

In case you didn’t know, Kiely and Adrienne were friends before The Cheetah Girls were even a thing—they formed a girl group called 3L in 1999 and became close then. In recent years, though, Kiely and Adrienne had a falling out that reached a peak when Kiely accused Adrienne of “pretending to be my best friend.” Raven tried to encourage Kiely to talk to Adrienne woman-to-woman, but she refused and got hella upset at the suggestion.

“No, she didn’t come to my dad’s funeral or call me when he died. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be messy. I’m being for real with you, no. I’m sorry, I love you. I swear to god, nope. Come on,” Kiely told Raven. “You can say what you want about me and how you felt about me, but you can’t ever say that I didn’t ride for Adrienne. You can’t say that. I didn’t do anything!” Er…yikes.

Ahead of Raven and Kiely’s Instagram Live, Raven referenced the feud in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It’s just, real girl groups have their moments, imagine a fake one,” she said. Adrienne has yet to respond to the feud accusations, and Sabrina Bryan is pregnant rn so she has bigger fish to fry. So that being said…I think it’s safe to say there’s no Cheetah Girls reunion in the cards. *sobs*
