Facing Future is arguably IZ's most popular album. Released in 1993, to this day it remains the best-selling album of all time by a Hawaiian artist. It reached Platinum status in 2005, selling more than one million copies, the only Hawaiian music album to do so. The album's sales are driven not only by it's popularity with Hawaiian audiences, but also by it's appeal around the world. The delicate medley "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" has been licensed for use in movies, television shows and commercials, both in the United States and abroad. Although Facing Future was actually IZ's second solo album, it was this recording that introduced millions of people worldwide to Israel's stunning talent.     Somewhere Over the Rainbow 🌈 is my favorite ❤️

    Israel speaks to his deep boyhood memories of his father in one song that is another of my favorite sentimental songs. If you sit, lower the lights, and listen just once, you will begin to hear history while basking in the melodic background music that is Israel’s alone. My great-grandson heard this cd for eleven years. Now he has his own copy.

    IZ had a one of a kind voice. One of the purist I have ever heard. He is also the one of the greatest example of a true Hawaiian. Regardless of what song he makes it a true Hawaiian song. We cannot get enough of listening to IZ!

    Great CD to have in your collection as he passed away.
