Found around the Tonle Sap River and the Great Lake (Ref. 36651), Stung Chinit, Mae Khong at Areyksat, Prek Men, Rocakong, Peam Chikang, Kaskos, Bac Nam and Prey Veng (Ref. 36654). Found in the Great Lake and Tonle Sap river (Ref. 33813). Its numbers have declined below the Khone Falls to the Tonle Sap River and the Great Lake (Ref. 37772). Migrates downstream from May to July (Ref. 37770). Frequently taken with explosives in northern Cambodia (Ref. 12693).

Botiidae Yasuhikotakia lecontei (Fowler, 1937) Fr native  Trey kanchrouk loeung (Khmer)  15.00 cm SL male/unsexed  Found in flowing rivers of Mekong basin (Ref. 12693). Used to make prahoc in Tonle Sap (Ref. 36686). Known from Great Lake (Ref. 33813). Also Ref. 26580. 
Botiidae Yasuhikotakia modesta (Bleeker, 1864) Fr native  Trey kanchrouk krawhorm (Khmer), Trey kanchrut (Khmer)  25.00 cm SL male/unsexed  Found in the Mekong basin (Ref. 12693, 27732). Known from Tonlé Sap (common in November and December) (Ref. 36686), Mae Khong at Stung Treng, Prek Phan (Ref. 36654) and Great Lake (Ref. 33813). Undertakes upstream migration from the Mekong delta, around the saline intrusion zone to just below the Khone Falls from November to March (Ref. 37770). Migrates during full moon (or just before full moon at Kandal) from Kandal to Kompong Cham (Ref. 37770). From May to July, it migrates downstream from the Khone Falls, apparently to flooded areas in Southern Cambodia and the Mekong Delta (Ref. 37770). Juveniles around 2 cm appear during November-February from Stung Treng to Sambor and from July to October from Kratie to Kandal (Ref. 37770). Also Ref. 26580, 45353.
