Cyprinidae Tor tor (Hamilton, 1822) Fr, Aq, Thr native  Tor mahseer (Bengali), Mohashol (Bengali), মহাশুল (Bengali), Mahsier (English)  200 cm TL male/unsexed  Occurs in hill streams of Mymensingh (Kangsha and Someswari rivers), Sunamgonj (Para river), Dinajpur (Mahananda river) and Chittagong Hill Tracts (Karnafuli reservoir). Found throughout the upper regions of Mymensingh, Sylhet and Dinajpur basin river systems (Ref. 56220). A consignment of this fish has been brought from Nepal and raised in the Freshwater Station of the Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (Ref. 56220). Also Ref. 4832, 31807, 39989, 41236, 56321.

Siluridae Wallago attu (Bloch & Schneider, 1801) Fr, Fi native  Boal (Bengali), বয়াল (Bengali), Freshwater shark (English)  240 cm TL male/unsexed  Reported from Choto Jamuna river (Ref. 100698). Found in rivers, pools, ponds, beels and baors througout the country. Fish measuring 180 cm TL are occasionally landed at Chandpur fish market. Also Ref. 4833, 39989, 41236, 43640. 
Belonidae Xenentodon cancila (Hamilton, 1822) Fr native  Kakila (Bengali), Kaikka (Bengali), কাইক্কা (Bengali), কাকিলা (Bengali), Gar (English)  40.00 cm TL male/unsexed  Very common in ponds, smaller rivers, canals, beels, and inundated fields throughout Bangladesh. Found in Choto Jamuna river (Ref. 100698). Also Ref. 4833, 41236, 43640.
