Introduction: How to Install an Engine Oil Cooler

Step 1: Install Oil Cooler Sandwich Plate

  1. Locate and remove you oil filter
  2. Assemble your oil filter sandwich plate
  3. Install oil filter sandwich plate where you oil filter was

Step 2: Install Oil Lines

Attach oil lines to the oil filter sandwich plate fittings

Step 3: Mock Up Then Mount Cooler

Mock up the oil cooler in the location of your choice and make sure there is proper clearance for it behind the grill or bumper. Once safely mocked up, make/install brackets to properly secure the cooler

Step 4:

Once the final location for the cooler is found, attach the oil lines to the cooler and re-secure the cooler

Step 5: Install Oil Filter

Install the new/old oil filter

Step 6: Done!

Add half a quart of oil to your engine and you're done!
