AKC breeder of superb-quality, health tested and titled family companions. We breed to preserve the excellence in all aspects of the Beauceron’s beauty, health, temperament, functionality, and ease and enjoyment of companionship.
The French phrase Joie de Vie (zhwä-də-ˈvē) or very literally, “Joy of Life” (abbr. “JDV”) is commonly used to express a keen and buoyant enjoyment of life. We believe this quality is not only beautifully exemplified in the Beauceron, an old and distinct breed of French herding dog; but also in the way our dogs and their owners live out this philosophy— joyfully living life together.
Our Mission as Preservation Breeders
Breeding is a passion, not a career for us. We are a household in a suburban neighborhood, and our dogs all live inside with us as part of our family. As Preservation Breeders, our primary goal is to produce consistently healthy, structurally sound, high-quality Beaucerons that exemplify the most ideal representatives of the breed, according to the AKC breed standard.

The dogs that we select for breeding have superior structure and temperaments. We ensure that they have all passed the health testing recommended for the breed by the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA Hips, Cardiac Echo, and Eyes). This breed is durable, formidable, and endurant—and we take pride in preserving these qualities. (See “Our Dogs” page to see the dogs in our breeding program.)
We are located in the Las Vegas area. With our easy transportation options, we are pleased to place JDV puppies all over the U.S. and Canada.

Information About Beaucerons
The Beauceron is a very athletic dog that gives the impression of strength. They are an incredibly versatile breed with a powerful, muscular build, but with freedom of movement and liveliness, without heaviness. Their physical capabilities combined with their work ethic help them succeed in Search and Rescue work, scent work, service work, and therapy work. They successfully compete in tracking, obedience, agility, protection sports, skijoring, lure coursing, and flyball, as well as the primary function they were bred for, herding.
