Lonely King Shepherd Gets Own Puppy As Other Dogs Too 'Intimidated' To Play

A lonely king shepherd has got his own puppy as other dogs are too "intimidated" to play with him.

In a viral clip posted on TikTok by user @explore.with.bear, Bear, the large pooch can be seen playing alone as a "lot of dogs are intimidated by him."

His owner added text to the video, which said: "He loves other dogs and always just wants to play. It broke my heart to see him playing by himself all the time."

To avoid loneliness, the owner purchased an Alaskan Malamute dog called Ludo and now his pet, Bear, couldn't be happier.

Signs Your Dog Is Lonely

Dogs are sociable animals and some may be fine with just human companionship—whereas others who are more active may benefit from a furry friend too.

Oakland Veterinary Referral Services has provided the following signs to look out for if you think your canine might be lonely:

  • Sudden clinginess—if your dog is sticking to you like glue, then this may be an indicator he or she needs more attention.
  • Lethargy—like humans, dogs can feel down in the dumps and may sleep more than usual.
  • Destructive behavior—if your dog suddenly starts chewing shoes, then he or she is trying to tell you something.
  • Physical changes—sometimes emotional distress can change the texture of your pet's fur and they may end up with damaged fur or even missing hair.

What Do the Comments Say?

Over 4,790 people have commented on the video that shows Bear and Ludo together.

Their owner pointed out that Ludo "didn't flinch at Bear's affection and has been making himself at home."

The clip also shows Ludo's wet hair as Bear licked his head until it was "soaking wet."

One comment, which received over 5,300 likes, said: "Hi bear if you haven't been told today YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT."

Another wrote: "My heart broke during the first half of this video. then it burst into a million pieces out of pure joy for Bear finally having a forever best friend. give them both all the hugs and kisses for me. and tell Bear he was always perfect, he just needed to wait for a perfect friend."

"AWWW. that is SOOO special. Bear won't feel left out anymore Friends for LIFE," commented one user.

Another TikToker wrote: "That makes my heart smile. Everyone needs a bestie."

"Awe so precious and amazing and adorable. Melts my heart and yes he does not have to be alone anymore he got his friend forever," wrote another.
