Characteristics of Ammannia Pedicellata "Golden"
The wild species that was long known by the name of Nesaea Pedicellata is native to East Africa and is found above and below water in rivers and swamps.
In addition to the regular Ammannia Pedicellata, the Nesaea Golden grows best with strong lighting, CO2 injection, supply of macro and micronutrients, also through the substrate, and fairly soft water. The optimum temperature range is between 22 and 28°C. The shoots are best planted with some space between them so that the lower leaves get enough light. Too much shade can cause blackening and shedding of lower leaves.
Like other stem plants, this Ammannia is easily propagated by tip cuttings and lateral shoots that can be obtained by pruning.
