Lobophytum salvati is morphologically similar to L. pauciflorum (Ehrenberg, 1834) in their thick finger-like lobes. These two species, however, differ from each other in the number of cylinder girdles in stalk interior (four in L. salvati vs. usually two in L. pauciflorum).
