When Amanda Lepore first arrived at the invitation-only Louboutin sample sale in the garment district yesterday, she gamely queued up in the 300-person-long line but then changed her mind and shimmied up to the front, according to the Post. The publicists manning the door allowed her to skip ahead of the folks who’d been waiting in the rain for hours, some of whom reportedly tried to con their way in by “claiming they were basketball wives.” Lepore bought two handbags and four pairs of shoes — surely some of these were the last of the exact pair someone in line was hoping to buy.
