Tips For Naming Your Boxer Dog

There are no hard and fast rules per se when you’re naming a Boxer (or any pet), but there are some general guidelines that you should follow. Picking a name for your Boxer is a big deal, and it’s going to be with them for life. You’ll want a name that fits their personality, appearance, and/or history, and it should be one that you really love since you’ll certainly be using it a lot.

Before deciding on a name for your Boxer, look at lists like this one to gather inspiration and narrow down your options. Take some cues from your pup, too—sometimes you only need to look at a dog to know what their perfect name is. Don’t pick a name that is overly complicated unless you plan to use a nickname, since you want your dog to be able to recognize when they’re being called.
