The former gymnast and media manager who is rumoured to be President Putin’s girlfriend has made a rare public appearance in Moscow, after rumours she had been living in Switzerland.
Alina Kabaeva was seen at Moscow’s VTB Arena, where preparations were being made for the annual Alina gymnastics festival, which is sponsored by her philanthropic foundation.
Kabaeva, 38, posed for photographs with Yekaterina Sirotina, one of the organisers of the show. Russian media noted that she was wearing a pair of Brunello Cucinelli trainers, which cost £700 or more.
