Reports of Rutherford County Water Rescue at Fate Sanders Marina Unfounded

There were reports of a water rescue at Fate Sanders Marina in Smyrna. Those reports were confirmed to be unfounded.

Rutherford County Fire and Rescue’s water rescue team did deploy a boat to perform welfare checks on those staying in house boats due to the entrance to the roadway being completely flooded.

Public Information Officer Ashley McDonald told WGNS, "At this time, no one wanted to be evacuated."
